We are well aware of the fact that the name Konopiště Open attracts attention. Our event has great name and is on the bucket list of many players all around the world. Unfortunately, the professional EuroTour event’s capacity is not infinite, so we had to come up with something for all the more recreational players.
That is exactly why we created the Konopiště Amateur Open back in 2023. It is a great opportunity for you to enjoy the magical Konopiště castle park atmosphere, play on the very same course as all the elite players of the Disc Golf Pro Tour event and experience everything you have only watched on YouTube so far. It is not a simple task to run the professional evnt, so this year we decided to hold the Amateur event on two courses at once to bump up the total capacity. The longer divisions (MA1, MA2, MA40 and FA1) will play the renowned Franz Ferdinand course twice and the new, permanent Gamekeeper’s lodge course once. The other divisions will play them the other way around.
The Amateur event is going to take place at the Konopiště castle park as a three-day PDGA B event with golf start, from May 16th to 18th. Max. capacity is 384 players, player’s fee is 100€ – 125€ and the registration starts on January 13th, 2025 at Disc Golf Scene.
